    BIO of Presenter:

Sylvia Drain is the Community Engagement Specialist for Greater Gallatin United Way (GGUW).  In this role, she champions volunteerism and works to find efficient and meaningful ways to bring businesses, individuals and non-profit agencies together.  Sylvia works with businesses to help them achieve their corporate responsibility goals.  Works with non-profit agencies to ensure they get the supplies and physical assistance they need and have the capacity to handle.  She manages the website VolunteerMT.org to help individuals connect with volunteer opportunities in the community.  Sylvia also actively participates in community outreach events to promote volunteerism.

Sylvia has been in her staff role with GGUW since March 2018, but served as a volunteer on the Board of Directors for nine years.  She has served on a number of other boards, coalitions, committees, tutored and pretty much has volunteered most of her life.  Prior to making the change to non-profit work this spring, Sylvia worked in media, advertising, marketing and public relations.  She moved to Bozeman from St. Louis, MO in 1993, shares her life with a husband, two grown children, a daughter-in-law, granddaughter and a springer spaniel.

To make a reservation, please click on the "Reservations" tab on the website, then search for the appropriate meeting date.  The location requires a 48 hours confirmation of attendees for catered events; therefore, reservation links are active two weeks prior to the event and close the Monday prior to the event.  Also, let us know when you RSVP if you will need any accommodation.

RSVPs help the GVHRA board, presenter, facility and caterers to accommodate all attendees.  Members who make a reservation and DO NOT attend will be charged.  Additionally, copies of presentation materials and food may not be available for those who do not RSVP.
