SECURE 2.0 was enacted on December 29, 2022, and is comprehensive legislation that includes over 90 provisions impacting retirement plans and IRAs. The legislation focuses on expanding coverage, increasing retirement savings, and easing administrative burdens. While a few provisions were effective immediately, most effective dates are in 2024 or later. Anton will focus first on ensuring timely implementation of required provisions. More information will be available on timing of optional provisions in the coming months. Many changes will require retirement plan amendments.

    Speaker: Anton Brog

Anton entered the financial services business in 1994 with Smith Barney. With nearly 20 years in the financial services industry, Anton has developed experience in a range of services including personal retirement planning, investment analysis, and insurance planning. Central to Anton’s practice is the belief that he should always act in the best interest of the clients that he works with.

After years in the financial services industry, Anton found a particular passion for working with small, closely held businesses to help create and maintain dynamic employer retirement plans. This passion prompted Anton to focus his practice on these employer retirement plans to benefit both the employer and the plan participants. Anton believes that while helping plan participants understand and truly benefit from these plans, he helps hard working Americans prepare for retirement while also benefiting the businesses he is fortunate to work with.

Anton earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Information Systems from the University of Utah. He continued his education at the University of Utah earning a Master’s degree in Business Administration in 2007. Anton is a Registered Investment Advisor, has earned Accredited Investment Fiduciary designation, and holds the FINRA series 7, 66, 24, and 53 registrations through LPL Financial.
