    Noon– 1:00 p.m.: PRESENTATION

Building on the previous chapter diversity sessions which introduced the concepts of diversity and generational differences, this training will take those ideas to the next level with insights into the importance of inclusion and creating a work environment which promotes diversity of thought.

We will explore the connections between diversity, inclusion, and diversity of thought and what it means to recognize, provide access, and embrace input from all employees. Additionally, we will discuss how we can all take steps to align these concepts with goals, core values, and overall business strategy.

It is important to continue efforts so we will close by discussing the business benefits and the true business advantages that can be gained by encouraging diversity of thought.  We will also provide tips and best practices to capitalize on the engagement of employees in this culture shift.

Kate Boie's long career in Human Resources began at the Progressive Insurance headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio as a Personnel Representative. She then moved to Seattle, took an HR job with The Boeing Company, and has been fortunate to gain experience in various HR areas within the company including Training, Personnel, Employee Relations, Compensation, and EEO. Kate relocated to Bozeman thirteen years ago and has continued to work virtually for Boeing as an HR Specialist.
